Arrived in Stockholm Thursday night, having spent the day travelling by train from Hamburg. Without realising it, I managed to book myself a first-class ticket from Copenhagen to Stockholm, which was nice. You get free coffee, tea and fruit, big seats, and the Swedish countryside going past. (Actually, I think you get that last bit in second class, too.)
Big pub meet on Thursday night. Lots of British fans there. The special for food was a burger and a beer for 195 crowns, about twenty quid. Welcome to Swedish prices. Nice burger, and nice beer, though.
Convention kicked off yesterday. I walked from my hotel to the con, and it pissed down. Some good panels and I found a pleasant cafe for lunch. And a group of us went out for a good meal in the evening, which cost even more than the night before.
And the internet at my hotel seems to time out if you hog the termínal, so I´ve had to finish typing this Sunday morning, so I`ll post now.
