So I switch on the TV to see how the cricket is going, and I see that Pakistan is 22 for 2. Not a bad start, I think.
With the TV sound off, I go into the kitchen to make a cup of coffee, and when I get back, they're 28 for 4. This is getting silly, I think.
England don't quite get them all out by lunch on the first day, but they are all out for 72, beating the previous record for a lowest score by Pakistan against England. And that had been set just last Sunday.
Nobody says it, but can the appalling floods back home be on the minds of the players?
