That Time of year

Just over a year ago I posted here that I had received two adverts from  car insurance companies telling me that my car insurance was due for renewal and had I considered moving over to them, when I don't have a car, have never taken a driving test, and last  attempted driving lessons in 1974,

It has happened again this year, albeit a week apart this time, plus a third advert for car insurance not specifically saying my current insuance.  So, why now?

Might be worth contacting the insurance co. in case someone is working some sort of scam and has given your address.
