 Just got a notification from NS&I that following the bank rate rise, the chances of winning on the premium bonds have changed from 30,000 to 1 to 24,500 to 1.

I can hardly wait to start spending all that extra money.

I have a fairly large amount in bonds, for a while they were paying a higher return than most savings accounts, so this is fairly good news.

So far this year I've received £200 in prizes from £10,000 worth of bonds, which is 2%. As you say, not bad. The e-mail said that the rate ought to be 1.15% going up to 1.4%
